Recommended Weapons[]

Stage of GameWeaponRequirementDescriptionOptional?
Very Early-GameNoneThis is a very cheap weapon, therefore useful for low budget mages.Yes
Early-GameCatacombs 5The Dreadlord Sword is a decent, dirt cheap weapon somewhat useful for Early Game mages. However, it is advised you use an AOTD instead of this, as the AOTD has much more damage and a better ability. No
Early-GameNoneA powerful weapon with high stats when maxed. No
Early-game, Mid-gameCombat 18 (Catacombs 12 when Dungeonized)With much better damage stats than the Dreadlord Sword, along with a superior ability, the Aspect of the Dragons is a very good weapon. You can pair this with Superior Dragon Armor and a Dragonfuse Glove to make a good Left Click Mage setup, as ModernSoldier did. Considering this also has massive clearing potential, there is no need to use a separate setup to clear. This setup also is decent outside of dungeons, meaning this is a very good setup to use.No
Early-GameFloor 2 CompletionThis isn't a very good weapon, but a somewhat cheap one that has a lot of ✎Intelligence.Yes
Early-GameFloor 4 CompletionEssentially a budget Livid Dagger with easier requirements, this sword can have some use.Yes
Early-Mid GameFloor 5 CompletionA decently cheap weapon with high stats, the Livid Dagger deals a massive amount of damage when compared to the Aspect Of The Dragons or the Adaptive Blade. However, the Aspect Of the Dragons is somewhat better after you Dungeonize and 5 star it, as it has considerably more strength, a better ability, and more base Damage. No
Mid-gameFloor 4 CompletionThis weapon could be considered a slightly worse shadow fury in exchange for a better ability. However, due to the fact that Left Click Mage armor is bad for berserker abilities, this weapon isn't very good for LCM.Yes
Mid-GameFloor 5 CompletionConsidered the 4th best melee weapon in the game, this sword costs 40,000,000–60,000,000coins, and is much better than any of the weapons mentioned above. Providing ✦Speed, which mages in general lack, along with massive amounts of damage and exceptionally high strength when used, this weapon is a great choice until you can afford a Giant's Sword.Yes
Mid-Late gameZombie Slayer 7A weapon with 66% of the damage of a Giant's Sword, this is worth it to those who wish to swap to Tank or who have the requirement.Yes
Early-mid gameFloor 6 CompletionThe flower of Truth has become significantly worse over time, with many nerfs and buffs. However, considering it requires Floor 6 Completion and costs under a million coins, most people will not ever need or use this weapon as they will be able to afford the Livid Dagger.Yes
Mid-Late GameFloor 6 CompletionDespite the fact this weapon lacks in ❁Strength, its ☠Crit Damage and ❁Damage are quite high, along with two nice abilities. It is also much cheaper than a Shadow Fury (about 25,000,000 coins) cheaper. No
Mid-End GameGilded With the buff to ✎Intelligence to the Gilded reforge, it can provide great damage while not being much more expensive than Felthorn Reaper. It should be noted that a good part of its usefulness comes from the 50,000,000coins coins paid. Due to the high ❁Strength of the weapon, it is recommended to use Onyx gemstones. Using this weapon along with the Golden Dragon's Gold's Power ability makes it stronger than a Giant's Sword, and similar to Dark Claymore with ideal conditions as of 0.20.1.Yes
Late GameFloor 6 CompletionThis is one of the best melee weapons in the game, possessing the highest tied Damage, having a very useful Left Click Mage ability, but costing over 150,000,000coins. This weapon is a must-have for all late-game Left Click Mages, as there are no weapons within the price range and also with an easy requirement to get.No, unless you have a Golden Dragon Pet
Late-End GameFloor 7 CompletionCosting over 900,000,000coins, this sword gives greatstats, and a very high amount of ⫽Ferocity, as well as a bonus damage to the Undead. This weapon can also outclasses the Dark Claymore, but is more expensive than both weapons combined. Through various tests it has been seen that even the giant's sword does only slightly less damage (calculating the second hit of the ferocity). This weapon is only expensive because it uses a Necron's Handle, as for Left-Click Mage, the Scrolls aren't required.Yes
End-GameMaster Mode - Floor 7 completionUsually around 200,000,000coins, this weapon is usually considered the best weapon in the game, but, as mentioned above, it is outclassed by the Valkyrie. Still, this weapon has very good stats and is much cheaper, at the cost of higher requirement. No

Recommended armor sets[]

Stage of GameArmor SetRequirementsDescriptionOptional?
Early-Mid GameCombat 20, Catacombs 14 (When Dungeonized)A good armor set to use with the Aspect Of the Dragons/Draconic, this set gives all round stats that are very good for LCM. It is advised to either use the Mythic or Renowned Reforge on this.Yes
Early Game

Combat 16, Catacombs 12 (When dungeonized)Possessing quite a fair bit of Intelligence, this set is decent for LC mages who want to use RCM too. With the fierce reforge, the armor set gives

+350 Intelligence, +72 Critical Damage, and +40 Strength.

Yes
Early-Mid GameCatacombs 20 (When Dungeonized)Due to high defense and the extra Ferocity this armor gives, it can be very useful with the Fierce or Ancient reforge. It is also much better than Shadow Assassin Armor for LCM, meaning this is required when you gain the ability to Dungeonize it.No
Early GameFloor I CompletionWhen Fragments are added, the stats of this helmet are better than almost any other within the budget and requirement. Also, due to it being automatically dungeonized, the helmet's reforge will scale with your Dungeon Level, meaning that it is absolutely necessary to get this unless you are using Superior Dragon Armor. No
AllVaries.Golden and Diamond heads are very powerful in their respective floors, and apart from the latter 8, somewhat cheap. These heads, when reforged to Necrotic, give 400 Intelligence while in their respective floor, without counting the Dungeon Level bonus to stats. Overall, very useful. No
Early-Game

Floor 3/Catacombs 9/Floor 1/Catacombs 16 (When tarantula helmet is dungeonized) Floor IVA set giving high Strength, but low critical damage, you may substitute pieces with Skeleton Soldier pieces if you have low Critical Damage. For reforging, Reforge the Skeleton soldier/Gheads with Necrotic, but reforge anything and everything else with Ancient, Fierce, Spiked, or Renowned.Yes
Early-Mid GameFloor IV completionOne of the best LCM armor pieces, these boots not only give high speed similar to Maxor's Boots, but also give a decent amount of Strength and Intelligence. No
AllSpider Slayer IV, Catacombs 16 (When Dungeonized)Considering the intelligence on the helmet, one would most likely just use a Bonzo's Mask instead. However, due to the ability, this outclasses most helmets that Left Click Mages can own, and when paired with Necrotic Shadow Assassin armor in dungeons, it will make you deal more damage. Also, due to the Intelligence, you can put the Fierce or Ancient reforge instead without having to worry about a lack of it. Overall, this is probably one of the best helmets you can get for Left Click Mage.No
Early-Mid game

Floor V, Combat 24, Catacombs 20 (When Frozen Blaze is dungeonized)One of the best Left Click Mage setups out there, this setup boasts very good stats. It is advised to use necrotic on all pieces, unless you are using a Tarantula Helmet, in that case use fierce or ancient on the helmet. This setup boasts very high amounts of strength and Intelligence, and with a Golden Head, you will gain more than 200 intelligence outside of dungeons and most likely over a thousand inside of them. This setup will sustain you until you get Storm's Armor with the Ancient reforge after Floor 7 Completion. Even so, you can still use the helmet that you were using if you do the same floor you were prior to getting the armor. At this stage of game, you may switch to Right Click Mage until you get Floor 7 completion. You can also use Frozen Blaze Armor if you want to instead of SA.No
Late-End GameFloor VI CompletionThe Precursor Eye gives high defensive stats and doesn't majorly reduce your damage, meaning it is a good alternative if you cannot tank that well.Yes
Mid-End Game

Floor VII Completion/Spider Slayer 4The final Left Click Mage setup you will get, this outclasses all setups above and, with a Dark Claymore or Valkyrie, can reach hundreds of millions of damage per hit. It is essential to have the Ancient reforge and a Recombobulator on all pieces, (unless you are using a Golden or Diamond Head). This setup is essential if you want to become mage in Master Mode.No

Pets[]

Stage Of GamePetDescriptionOptional?
Early-Mid gameUsually an overlooked pet, this is one of the best Mage pets, even for Right Click Mages. This is due to the Mana Pool ability, and the extra Defense. Even if you swap to another pet like the Sheep Pet, this is still a useful pet for its Enchanting Exp Boost ability.Yes
Early-gameA very cheap pet, outclassed by almost all others. Only use this if you have an extremely tight budget.Yes
Early-Late gameThis pet provides very high Ferocity, and boosts your DPS by a lot. If you can afford this pet while still having other good gear, buy it. Also, when fighting the Dungeon Boss, this pet also helps out a lot due to its 3rd perk.No
Early-Mid gameA pet with very good buffs for Intelligence and Ability Damage, this is best paired with the Superior Dragon Setup + Aspect of the Draconic mentioned above. However, it is massively outclassed by the Tiger Pet, meaning you should only use this if you cannot afford that pet, or if you are using the AOTD+Superior setup.Yes
Early-gameA decent pet with all-round stats, this pet is valued at around 3 million coins, and can be useful in some cases.Yes
Late-gameThe best damage pet in the game, only beaten by a maxed Golden Dragon Pet, which is 4 times the cost, This pet does very high damage and even outclasses the Tiger Pet. However, be wary of the over 500 million coins for a Legendary rarity pet.No
End-GameThe best damage pet in the game, this pet can increase your damage by 250% in optimal conditions. In end-game, this pet is necessary for any Left Click Mage. However, this costs over 2 billion coins. No
